WASHINGTON, D.C. — Goucher lost its final Landmark Conference match of the season, 9-0, to Catholic this evening.
- The Gophers (3-12, 0-7 Landmark) fell in straight-sets during the six singles matches. The closest, for Sally Baum's squad, came between Miranda Egan-Brooks (Brooklyn, N.Y./Bard High School Early College) and Lindsay Rekstis at No. 3 singles. The freshman suffered a 7-6 (6) loss in the first set and bowed to Rekstis one set later, 6-2.
- In doubles play, Catholic earned three-straight victories.
- The Cardinals (7-5, 1-2 Landmark) have a tough stretch ahead as they play five conference matches in a span of 11 days, starting with Juniata on Saturday.
Goucher ends its 2015-16 campaign on the road against Stevenson on Friday, April 29. The match is set to start at 1 p.m.
