YORK, Pa. - The Goucher College women's tennis team finished off their 2018-19 Fall schedule by sweeping double play, then winning five of the six singles matches contested to roll to an 8-1 win over York on Tuesday.

With the win, the Gophers end their Fall schedule with a 3-1 record.

In doubles action, Goucher got their afternoon started off on the right foot when at number one, first-year Anais Gill and senior Mandile Mpofu (Harare, Zimbabwe) gutted out an 8-6 victory.

The victories continued for Goucher in number two doubles, where senior Ali Tomasevich (Harleysville, Pa.) and sophomore Morgan Hartman (Woodstock, Vt.) captured an 8-2 win. Finally, at number three, first-year Haddie Hill (San Antonio, Texas) and junior Katie Marzerka (Wolfeboro, N.H.) posted an 8-6 win to complete the doubles sweep for Goucher.

In singles, it was more of the same for the Gophers. Things kicked off with Hill (6-3, 6-2) and Mpofu (6-0, 6-2) rolled to straight set victories in the top two spots of the lineup, which was followed up by a three-set win by Hill at number three (6-2, 2-6, 10-6).
