ORLANDO, Fla. - Luther College swept a non-conference women's tennis match from Goucher College 9-0 Wednesday evening at the USTA National Campus.
- Luther (15-8) jumped out to a 3-0 lead on Goucher (4-4).
- Eliza Abady (Dobbs Ferry, N.Y./The Masters School) and Natalia Navarro (Francisco Morazan, Honduras / Del Campo School) fell 8-4 at No. 2.
- The Norse took all six singles matches in straight sets.
- Ceri McCaffrey (Ardsley, N.Y./Ardsley) nearly forced a third set before falling 6-1, 7-5 at No. 2.
- Goucher is slated to open Landmark Conference play on Saturday when it travels to Elizabethtown for a noon match.
- The Gophers' home opener is set for April 1 against Drew.
