BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Host Moravian University swept Goucher College 9-0 in Goucher's Landmark Conference women's tennis opener at Hoffman Courts Sunday afternoon.
- Moravian (10-3, 1-1 Landmark) jumped out to a 3-0 lead over the Gophers (4-5, 0-1).
- Ceri McCaffrey (Ardsley, N.Y./Ardsley) and Jessica Townes (Wilmington, Del./Concord) played the closest of the three doubles matches, falling 8-5 at No. 1.
- At No. 1, Natalia Navarro (Francisco Morazan, Honduras / Del Campo School) won her first set before falling 1-6, 6-4, 6-3.
- Sarai Oquendo Silveira (Houston, Texas/Harmony School of Discovery) forced a third set at No. 5 before dropping a 6-1, 5-7, 10-7 decision.
- Goucher returns home on Saturday, April 1, hosting Drew University in a 1 pm Landmark Conference match at the Schroedl Tennis Center.
