TOWSON, Md. - Visiting Salisbury University eased past Goucher College for an 8-1 non-conference women's tennis victory Saturday afternoon at the Schroedl Tennis Center.
- Salisbury (10-2) jumped out to a 3-0 lead after doubles.
- Lucy Ingraham and Jessica Townes fell 8-3 at No. 1, while also dropping an 8-3 decision were Eliza Abady and Aaliyah Ybarra.
- The Sea Gulls won at each of the top five singles flights to sew up the match.
- At No. 6, Ybarra held off her opponent for a 7-5, 4-6, 10-8 victory.
- Ybarra won her third straight singles match.
- Salisbury has won four of its last five matches, with the lone blemish coming Friday to Division I Towson.
- The Gophers host Catholic on Wednesday, April 3 at 3:30 pm at the Schroedl Tennis Center.
