TOWSON, Md. - The Goucher College women's tennis team pushed past Division II Kutztown University in a 5-4 victory at home on Wednesday afternoon at the Schroedl Tennis Center.
- The Gophers won in two of the three doubles matchups.
- Meline Siggen and Aaliyah Ybarra won 8-5 in the No. 2 match.
- In the No. 3 match, Sarai Oquendo Silveira and Shelby Meek won 8-1.
- The Gophers split the singles matches 3-3.
- Meek won 6-2, 6-0 in the No. 4 singles match to clinch the victory.
- Jessica Townes pushed past her opponent in the No. 5 match, winning 6-0, 6-0.
- At No. 6 Ybarra won 6-3, 6-1.
- Ybarra added to her current win streak, extending it to six straight, only dropping one match this season.
- Townes also extended her win streak to three, pushing her record to 6-1 on the season.
- Goucher won its third in a row.
- The Gophers travel to face defending Landmark champion Drew for their final away match, this Saturday at 1pm.
- Goucher returns home on Thursday, April 18th to face Catholic at 3:30pm.
