Bryn Mawr Edge Out Goucher

BRYN MAWR, Pa. - The host Owls of Bryn Mawr College (4-0 Overall) Edge out the Goucher College Gophers (2-3 Overall) in Spring Home Opener in a 4-3 victory.

• The Owls secured the doubles points by sweeping the doubles matches. The No. 1 doubles pairing of Natalia Navarro and Lucy Ingraham kept the match close with a 4-6 loss.

• In the No 2. singles, Meline Siggen forced a third set to determine the outcome, but fell 0-6, 6-2, 0-6.
• Ingraham secured the victory in the No. 3 singles, winning straight sets 6-3, 6-1. 
• Eliza Abady fought through three sets to win in the tie breaker, she won the first set 6-4, dropped the next 4-6, and then pulled out the win 6-4.
• Sarai Oquendo Silveira won the No. 6 singles after her opponent retired. 

• The women travel to face Coppin State on Sunday, March 9th at 2pm.
• They host Lycoming in their first home meet of the spring season on March 22nd against Lycoming and Harford Community College.
