Gophers Soar Past Susquehanna on Senior Day

TOWSON, Md. - The Goucher College Gophers (8-7 Overall; 4-2 Conference) hosted the Susquehanna University River Hawks (5-5 Overall; 2-3 Conference) on Senior Day at the Schroedl Tennis Center. The women extended their win streak in a 7-0 Landmark victory.

• The Gophers swept doubles with Natalia Navarro and Lucy Ingraham securing the 6-0 victory in the No. 1 match.
• Eliza Abady and Meline Siggen won in the No. 2 doubles 6-1.
• The pair of seniors, Shelby Meek and Sarai Oquendo Silveria won in the No. 3 match 6-1.

• Navarro swept her opponent in the No. 1 singles 6-0, 6-0.
• In the No. 2 match, Siggen rallied back after dropping the first set 0-6, 6-0, 6-1. 
• Ingraham follows suit of her doubles partner in the No. 3 match, sweeping her opponent (6-0, 6-0).
• The No. 4 match was won by Abady after only allowing one game (6-1, 6-0).
• Meek matched her fellow senior 6-1, 6-0 in the No. 5 match.
• Oquendo Silveira only allowed one game as well, 6-0, 6-1 in the No. 6 match.

• The women travel to Elizabethtown on Friday, April 18th, after the match was rescheduled from March 2nd.
