Goucher Beats Wilkes to Extend Win Streak to Six

TOWSON, Md. - The Goucher College Gophers (10-7 Overall; 6-2 Conference) extend their win streak to six after taking down the Wilkes University Colonels (7-7 Overall; 2-4 Conference).

• The No. 1 doubles team, consisting of Natalia Navarro and Lucy Ingraham swept their match winning 6-0.
• Eliza Abady and Meline Siggen won the No. 2 match 6-1.
• In the No. 3 match, Shelby Meek and Sarai Oquendo Silveira won 6-1. 

• Siggen won the No. 2 singles match after dropping a tie breaker in the first set to win the next two (6-7(6-10), 6-3, 10-2.
• In the No. 3 match, Ingraham swept her opponent 6-0, 6-0.
• Abady held her opponent scoreless in the No. 4 singles match (6-0, 6-0).
• Meek only allowed one game to her opponent in the No. 5 match to win 6-0, 6-1.
• In the No. 6 match, Oquendo Silveira swept her opponent 6-0, 6-0.

• The women travel to face Catholic in a rescheduled match tomorrow, set to begin at 2:30pm.
