Four Athletes Represent Goucher Women's Indoor Track & Field

MADISON, N.J. - Four female members of the indoor track and field program were among the 30 student-athletes from Goucher who were recognized today by the Landmark Conference for academic accomplishments by being placed on the 2007-08 Winter Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll.

The honor roll contains the names of 258 student-athletes of sophomore standing or higher from the eight member institutions who played one of the six sports in which the Landmark Conference conducts a championship during the winter and have achieved a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.

The following from the women's indoor track and field team represented Goucher on the 2007-08 Winter Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll: J. Fraley Coles (The Plains, VA/Highland School), Sheba Newman-Blount (Lanham, MD/Bishop Ireton), Samantha Solomon (Columbia, MD/Oakland Mills) and Kate Young (Ithaca, NY/Ithaca).

The Landmark Conference is in its first year of competition and includes eight like-minded institutions covering the mid-Atlantic region.
