Members of Goucher's DMR Earn All-Landmark Honors

TOWSON, Md. — The four runners who made up Goucher's entry in the women's distance medley relay that finished in first place three days ago at the 2014 Landmark Conference Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships were officially bestowed all-conference honors today.

The conference came out this morning with the sport's major award winners for the 2013-14 season and also released the All-Landmark Conference Women's Indoor Track & Field Team. All student-athletes who place first in an event at the conference meet, including relays, are placed on the All-Landmark first team, while runners-up are recognized as second-team selections.

Representing Goucher in the distance medley relay were Kathryn Walker (Plymouth Meeting, Pa./Plymouth-Whitemarsh), who handled the opening 1,200 meters, Danielle Granger (Amherst, Va./Amherst County), who took the next 400 meters,  Ellie Ginsberg (Ocean Twp., N.J./Ocean Twp.), the next 800 meters, and finally June Chiango (Wyomissing, Pa./Wyomissing Area), who wrapped up the quartet's victory with her effort in the final 1,600 meters. The aggregate time of the foursome was 13:45.32.

Juniata was runner-up with its time of 13:46.96.
