Belin Earns Weekly Honor from Landmark Conference

TOWSON, Md. — Goucher produced the Landmark Conference's Track Athlete of the Week for women's indoor track and field for the seven-day period which ended Sunday. The weekly honor, according to an official announcement issued by the conference this afternoon, was bestowed upon freshman Maya Belin (Baltimore, Md./Maryvale Preparatory School).

At the Bow Tie Classic, the first meet of the 2015-16 indoor season for head coach John Caslin's Gophers, Belin finished in a tie with Jessica Olewine from Lebanon Valley for third place in the 200-meter dash as both runners completed the event in :28.04. She also took fourth place in the 60-meter dash where her time of :08.20 equals the 10th fastest time in that event in the history of Goucher's women's indoor track and field program.

Belin was also a member of Goucher's field hockey team in the fall.
