Smith Gains Recognition for Second-Place Finishes

TOWSON, Md. — As this year's conference runner-up in two events, Kamillah Smith (Northampton, Mass./Amherst Regional) earned a spot on the 2015-16 All-Landmark Conference Women's Indoor Track & Field Team, which was officially released to the public today.

Smith accounted for 16 of Goucher's total of 26 points at the 2015-16 conference meet, which was conducted Saturday. Half of her haul was for her second-place performance in the 60-meter dash; the remaining eight points were for being the second runner to cross the finish line in the 200-meter dash.

The school record-holder in both events, she was clocked at :07.98(h) in the 60-meter dash finals and :26.98 in the 200-meter dash finals on Saturday.
