Taylor Gunter paced the Goucher College track and field team with a pair of 13th-place standings at the Patriot Games on January 26 Gunter finished 13th in both the shot put (10.23m) and the weight throw (12.13m) to notch the lone Top-15 finishes in a meet that including several Division I and Division II programs.
Sydney Smith posted a personal-best time in the 60-meter dash (8.70) to finish in 19th place and also placed 24th in the 200-meter dash (28.72). Mikayla Hinnant finished 19th in the weight throw (9.31m) while Victoria Wheeler placed 23rd in the 400-meter dash (1:20.78). In the 1-mile run, Laila Hanson (26th place, 6:08.78) and Hannah Brogan (28th place, 6:38.23) competed in the event.
On the men's side Brandon Julot paced the team with 16th-place standing in the shot put (12.09m) with the seventh-best toss in school history and he also finished 18th in the weight throw (10.64m). Darby Bauer also joined the record books after finishing 17th in the weight throw (12.21m) with the fourth-best throw in team history. Bauer also placed 23rd in the shot put (10.85m).
Joseph Rhodenhiser had a long day, but etched his name into the record books with a pair of Top-6 finishes. He placed 20th in the 500-meter dash (1:17.19) with the fifth-best time in school history and finished 26th in the 1000-meter dash (3:04.91) with the six fastest time in team history.
