Meade Places First in 400, Run Leg on Victorious Relay
YORK, Pa. Sarah Meade (Santa Fe, N.M./Monte Del Sol Charter School) placed first in the 400-meter dash and ran a leg on Goucher's victorious entry in the 4 x 100-meter relay at today's York Spring Opener.
Macaluso, Kellon Finish 2-3 in 200; Kellon Takes Third Place in 100 Hurdles
YORK, Pa. — Sarah Meade (Santa Fe, N.M./Monte Del
Sol Charter School) placed first in the 400-meter dash and
ran a leg on Goucher's victorious entry in the 4 x 100-meter relay
at today's York Spring Opener.
Meade completed the 400 in 1:05.00, which was :01.55 faster than the runner-up, Alisha Farrell from Lebanon Valley. Goucher's Caitlin Biggers (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y./Lakeland) and Kanika Staten (Columbia, Md./Long Reach) placed third and fifth, respectively, in the same event, with Biggers turning in a time of 1:09.56 and Staten a time of 1:14.39.
Joining Meade on the 4 x 100 relay team that took first place with its time of :53.77 were Kate Clarke (Hendersonville, Tenn./Pope John Paul II), Marissa Copan (Golden, Colo./Golden) and Dana Macaluso (Huntington, N.Y./Huntington).
Macaluso and Jaclyn Kellon (Cleveland Heights, Ohio/St. Peter Chanel) finished 2-3 behind Michelle Wuenstel from Washington & Jefferson in the 200-meter dash. Macaluso crossed the finish line in :28.95 and Kellon in :29.89.
Kellon took third place in the 100-meter hurdles (:18.54) and Hailey Augustson (Athen, W.Va./PikeView) placed fifth in the 5,000-meter run (24:12.00).
