Agonovic, Currier Earn Points for Gophers on Opening Day

Sophomore Completes 1500 in 5:05.68, Seventh Place
TOWSON, Md. — With Goucher serving as the host of the 2013 Landmark Conference Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships, two athletes earned points in front of the home crowd today.
The first point the Gophers scored on the opening day of the two-day meet came in the long jump, courtesy of Sara Aganovic (Pasadena, Md./McDonogh) and the freshman's effort of 4.94 meters (16'2 1/2").
Katherine Currier (Brooklyn, N.Y./LaGuardia) picked up two points for Goucher with her seventh-place finish in the 1500 meters. The sophomore was clocked at 5:05.68.
The Gophers concluded the first day in sixth place with a total of three points.
