Aganovic Goes Top Three in Pair of Jumping Events

Aganovic achieved a distance of 9.72 meters (31'10 3/4") in the triple jump on the opening day of the two-day meet. In the long jump, she went 4.66 meters (15'3 1/2").
There were two events over the weekend in which Goucher had two runners among the top six finishers. On Friday, it was in the 3,000 meters where Katelynn Zidanic (York, Pa./Central York) would up in fifth place, one spot ahead of Camille Jorgensen (San Diego, Calif./Patrick Henry). Zidanic completed the event in 11:54.50; Jorgensen was clocked at 12:07.28.
Zidanic also placed fourth overall today in the 1,500 meters with her time of 5:28.03.
Today in the 5,000 meters, June Chiango (Wyomissing, Pa./Wyomissing Area) wound up in third place (20:36.46) and Shea Staab (Fallston, Md./Fallston) was fifth (21:40.18).
Both hurdle events were contested today and Danielle Granger (Amherst, Va./Amherst County) was one of the top performers in both of them. She completed the 100-yard hurdles in 17.92 seconds, good for fifth place, and the 400-yard hurdles in 1:14.67, which landed the sophomore in fourth place.
Mimi Rappaport-Gow (Washington, D.C./Duke Ellington School of the Arts) represented the Gophers in the 100-yard dash today. She was the seventh runner to cross the finish line in the event and registered a time of 14.25 seconds.
Goucher's entry in Friday's 4 x 800-meter relay consisting of Chiango, Staab, Christine Cherry (Laurel, Md./Meade) and Rebecca Kotula (Fallston, Md./John Carroll School) took third place with its time of 11:29.13.
There was no team scoring.
The Gophers will compete at home for the only time during the outdoor season when they host the Goucher Track & Field Classic on March 29.
