Gophers Compete at Big Apple Invitational
STATEN ISLAND, NY - The Goucher College Gophers remained in New York for the Big Apple Invitational hosted at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
First-year, Kalia Kiyoi kicked off with a top-30 finish in the 1-mile run, with a time of 6:25.40. Ray Asiedu added an additional top-30 finish in the 200-meter dash, with a time of 26.83.
In the field events, Marissa Heil earned a season best with an 8.80m throw in the shot put. While AaShyah De Vries rounded out shot put for the Gophers with a 22-place finish (7.33m)
The Gophers' next meet will be at the Susquehanna Invite on Saturday, Feb. 14th. This will mark the final regular-season meet before the Landmark Conference Championships.
