Gophers Close Shamrock Invitational with Strong Performances

MYRTLE BEACH, SC - The Goucher College Gophers finished their three-day campaign at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational on Saturday.
In the women's 3000-meter run, Kalia Kiyoi recorded a top-25 time of 12:44.48. Ray Asiedu posted a personal-best time of 26.16 in the 200-meter dash.
In the field events, AaShyah De Vries earned a fourth-place finish in the high jump with a mark of 1.48 meters. Ja'Kiya Allen represented the Gophers in both the shot put and discus. She recorded a personal-best throw of 29.16 meters in the discus and posted a mark of 9.23 meters in the shot put.
The Gophers return to action on Saturday, April 11, as they travel to compete in the Delaware State Invitational.
