Gophers Impress at Widener
CHESTER, PA- The Goucher College Women's Track & Field team traveled to Widener University to compete in the Danny Curran Invitational.
Kalia Kiyoi started the day for the Gophers in the 1500 meters, finishing with a time of 5:54.17. Kiyoi also competed in the 800 meters, recording a personal-best time of 2:53.28. Ray Asiedu ran the 400 meters with a time of 1:05.29 and later competed in the 200 meters, finishing in 26.70. Rosy Palla recorded a personal-best time of 15.19 in the 100 meters. She also competed in the 200 meters, securing another personal-best time of 31.02.
In the field events, AaShyah De Vries recorded a top-15 finish in the high jump with a mark of 1.45 meters. Marissa Heil competed in the long jump, posting a distance of 4.30 meters.
The Gophers return to action on Saturday, April 11th, when they travel to the Delaware State Invitational.
