Asiedu Advances to Finals as Gophers Open Landmark Championships

HUNTINGDON, PA - The Goucher College Gophers Women's Track & Field team traveled to Juniata College for day one of the Landmark Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

On the track, Ray Asiedu ran a time of 12.57 in the 100-meter prelims, earning seventh place and a spot in the finals on day two. Asiedu made another appearance in the 200 meters, finishing ninth with a time of 26.39.

In the field events, Marissa Heil earned a top-20 finish in the long jump with a distance of 4.48 meters. Ja'Kiya Allen competed in the hammer throw, recording a distance of 31.48 meters. Allen also participated in the shot put, earning a top-20 finish with a throw of 9.38 meters.

The Gophers will return to action tomorrow, Sunday, May 3rd, for the second day of the Landmark Outdoor Championships, beginning at 11am.
