Gophers Post Strong Finishes on Day Two at Conference Championships

HUNTINGDON, PA - The Goucher College Women's Track & Field team continued competition at the Outdoor Landmark Track & Field Championships, hosted by Juniata College.

On the track, Ray Asiedu earned a fourth-place finish in the 100 meters with a time of 12.47.

In the field events, AaShyah De Vries recorded a top-20 finish in the javelin with a throw of 23.73 meters. She was joined by Marissa Heil, who posted a mark of 17.27 meters. Ja'Kiya Allen competed in the discus, earning an 11th-place finish with a personal-record throw of 30.60 meters. De Vries also competed in the high jump, placing 11th with a height of 1.43 meters.

The Gophers will return to action on Saturday, May 9th, when they close out their season at the ECAC Track & Field Championships, hosted by McDaniel College.
