Sauvage-Mar Represents Goucher on All-Tournament Team
BALTIMORE, Md. — Goucher suffered losses to DeSales, Geneva and Johns Hopkins in going 0-3 at the season-opening Johns Hopkins Invitational over the weekend.
The Gophers opened their 2010 campaign Friday against the Bulldogs (1-1), who posted a 25-23, 29-27, 25-16 victory. Kasey Quinn (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) turned in a double-double of 10 kills and 12 digs and Ashley Fan (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) was credited with a team-high 25 digs, but head coach Michael Bossom's team was guilty of 19 hitting errors and 12 service errors.
Claire Sauvage-Mar (New Delhi, India/American Embassy School) accumulated 27 assists in today's two matches, a 25-17, 25-9, 25-18 loss to the Golden Tornadoes (4-0) which was followed by a 25-12, 25-15, 25-21 setback to the Blue Jays (1-2).
Sauvage-Mar represented Goucher (0-3) on the all-tournament team.
