Gophers Defeat Gators for Second Time in 2010

Playing in front of a Decker Sports & Recreation Center crowd of 116 hearty fans, the Gophers dropped only the second set in pinning a 3-1 setback on the Gators.
Chalk Contributes 11 Kills to 25-19, 20-25, 25-14, 25-10 Win

Playing in front of a Decker Sports & Recreation Center crowd of 116 hearty fans, the Gophers dropped only the second set in pinning a 3-1 setback on the Gators.
Set scores were 25-19, 20-25, 25-14, 25-10.
The Gophers (7-17) were guilty of nine hitting errors in
the second set, but committed only a combined total of four in the
three sets they won. Goucher finished with a .192 attack
percentage.
Freshman outside hitter Megan Chalk (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) contributed 11 kills to the victory, making her the only player on either team to reach double figures in kills.
Sophomore Ashley Fan (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial), who served as the libero for Goucher, paced the team in digs with 18.
The loss snapped a six-match winning streak for the Gators (15-8).
Back on Sept. 28, the Gophers defeated Notre Dame, 3-0 (25-18, 25-21, 28-26).
