Gophers' Leader in Digs, Runner-Up in Kills, Service Aces
MADISON, N.J. — Senior opposite hitter Kasey Quinn (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) has been chosen to represent Goucher on the 2010 All-Landmark Conference Volleyball Team, which was revealed today.
Each head coach in the conference took part in the position-by-position voting and the balloting produced a first team and a second team, both of which include eight players. Quinn was placed on the All-Landmark second team.
Quinn, who served as Goucher's libero at times during the 2010 season, led the Gophers in digs with 373 and ranked second in kills (216) and service aces (35). She concluded her career with 1,386 digs, the sixth-highest total in the history of the school's volleyball program, and the 91 aces she served in 2007 as a freshman still stands as the program's single-season record.
"Kasey is one of those players who worked hard and improved every year, and to be named a 2010 All-Landmark player is a nice way to recognize that this was her best season," commented head coach Michael Bossom. "Over the course of her four seasons, she played many roles for the team and never complained when we switched her to a different position. She always did what was best for the team."
