Goucher Women's Volleyball Upended Twice At Wesley

DOVER, Del. – Goucher College lost 3-1 in a pair of tri-matches at Wesley College in non-conference women's volleyball action on Saturday. The Gophers fell 25-21, 25-19, 20-25, 25-22 to Wesley and 19-25, 25-22, 25-21, 25-21 to Misericordia.

Kaya Melchor (Mililani, Hawaii/Kamehameha Schools Kapalama) paced the team with 17 kills on the afternoon, including her second collegiate double-digit kill performance with 10 against Wesley. The freshman added 14 digs against Wesley for her first career double-double.

Bianca Brown (North Brunswick, N.J./North Brunswick Towsnship) added 15 kills with eight coming against Wesley while Emily Sorrells (Annapolis, Md./South River) posted seven kills in each match.

Tes DeJaeger (Norwalk, Conn./Brien McMahon) notched her second-straight double-double with 20 assists and 11 digs against Wesley and narrowly missed her 19 career double-double after finishing with 11 assists and nine digs against Misericordia.

Cat Hartley (Colorado Springs, Colo./Cheyenne Mountain)  registered 37 digs on the afternoon including 23 against Wesley.

Goucher returns to action on Wednesday at Washington (Md.). Match time is 6 p.m.
