Couraud Finishes York Inv. in 20:53, 10th Place
YORK, Pa. Freshman Hadley Couraud (East Lansing, Mich./East Lansing) became only the sixth runner in the history of Goucher's women's cross country program to complete a 5,000-meter race in under 21 minutes when she turned in a time of 20:53.92 today at John Rudy Park in the York Invitational.

YORK, Pa. – Freshman Hadley Couraud (East Lansing,
Mich./East Lansing) became only the sixth runner in the
history of Goucher's women's cross country program to complete a
5,000-meter race in under 21 minutes when she turned in a time of
20:53.92 today at John Rudy Park in the York Invitational.
Couraud placed 10th overall in the field of 83 runners and her time is the 39th fastest all-time in program history for that distance.
The Gophers, who placed sixth in the team scoring with 140 points, had a second runner in the top 20: senior Katie Shaw (Albuquerque, N.M./Bosque School) placed 19th with her time of 21:27.97.
Following Shaw, the next two Goucher runners to cross the finish line were junior Hannah Southworth (Durham, N.H./Oyster River) in 44th place and senior Kate Young (Ithaca, N.Y./Ithaca) in 50th. Southworth turned in a time of 22:58.55, while Young, who returned after missing the first two races of the season, was clocked at 23:17.56.
Franklin & Marshall posted a score of 37 points to finish in first place, 14 points ahead of runner-up Catholic. McDaniel (85 points) was third.
The individual champion was McDaniel's Lindsay Wilson, who completed the 5K in 19:32.35.
