Currier Completes Paul Short Run in 23:42, 13th Place

Goucher Finishes with Top Score Out of Landmark Conference
BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Goucher placed fourth in a field of 39 teams in the Collegiate White race at today's Lehigh-Brooks-Paul Short Run with 235 points.
Only Kutztown, which finished with a team score of 69 points, Seton Hill (85 points) and Rochester Institute of Technology (199) were ahead of head coach John Caslin's runners in the final team scoring.
In fact, the Gophers beat out all six of the other Landmark Conference schools which participated in today's 6,000-meter race, which was conducted on the same course that will be used on Oct. 29 for the Landmark Conference Championship.
Goucher's Katherine Currier (Brooklyn, N.Y./LaGuardia) was one of five runners from the Landmark Conference to earn her way into the top 20 at today's event. Currier placed 13th overall as she crossed the finish line in 23:42, which is the 11th fastest time for a race of that distance in the history of the school's women's cross country program.
The next two runners from Goucher to come in after Currier were Taylor Burr (Addison, Maine/Maranacook Community) and Hadley Couraud (East Lansing, Mich./East Lansing) in 33rd and 46th place, respectively. Burr was clocked at 24:32 and Couraud at 24:49.
After that, Kathryn Walker (Plymouth Meeting, Pa./Plymouth Whitemarsh) and Katelynn Zidanic (York, Pa./Central York) were separed by one second as they completed the race: Walker in 71st place (25:16) and Zidanic in 72nd (25:17).
The fastest of the 335 collegiate runners who ran in the race was Stephanie Pryor from Seton Hill. Her winning time was 22:52.
