Landmark Goes With Currier for Weekly Honor Again

TOWSON, Md. — For the second time already this season, the Landmark Conference has chosen Goucher's Katherine Currier (Brooklyn, N.Y./LaGuardia) as its Athlete of the Week for the sport of women's cross country.

Today's selection, which covers the seven-day period which ended Sunday, was the result of Currier's first-place finish on Saturday at the Coach Achtzehn Classic. The junior completed the 6,000-meter race in 23:56.56, which is the 23rd-fastest time in the history of the school's women's cross country program for that distance.

Currier, who earned first-team all-conference honors by finishing fourth overall at the 2012 Landmark Conference Women's Cross Country Championship, also received the weekly honor back on September 3 for being the top Division III runner at the Baltimore Metro Meet.
