TOWSON, Md. — The Goucher community gathered in Kraushaar Auditorium this afternoon for Convocation, the annual celebration of the academic and artisitic achievements of its students.

SCRANTON, Pa. — Goucher, which went into its final game of the regular season needing a victory over Scranton and loads of help in order to snare the final spot in the Landmark Conference's upcoming championship tournament, couldn't pull off what it needed to do. HUNTINGDON, Pa. — Goucher's five starters were held to a combined total of 21 points this evening in a 70-51 loss to Juniata that leaves the Gophers in a precarious position with regard to making the Landmark Conference playoffs.

TOWSON, Md. — Goucher suffered only its second loss at home this season, but the 90-76 setback to Scranton in the Decker Sports & Recreation Center this evening proved costly to the Gophers as it kept them from owning sole possession of second place in the Landmark Conference.
In 1994, male students and men’s athletics were still a bit of a novelty on campus. The college had only made the historic decision to go co-ed seven years earlier. Men’s basketball, which was introduced in 1990, was a fledgling sport at Goucher.
