2017-18: Swam in 8 meets during his senior season with the Gophers…fastest event of the season was the 50m freestyle event with 25.33 at the Blue Jay Invitational...placed 9th in the 1650m freestyle event (17:11.85), placed 7th at the 200m freestyle event (1:54.14), placed 18th in the 100m backstroke (59.69) and the 500m freestyle (5:03.29), and 7th in the 100m backstroke event (59.88) at the 2018 Landmark Conference Championships…
Before Goucher: Swam under Sue Hunter during his high school career...earned the Coaches' Award and Team MVP Award.
Personal: Son of Andrew Furst and Samantha Poland, Ian is a political science major.
