Jennings Runs Program's Fourth-Fastest Indoor Mile

SELINSGROVE, Pa. — There were no top 10 performances for Goucher in the non-scoring Crusader Classic that was conducted today, but one individual from head coach John Caslin's squad did run the fourth-fastest mile in the history of the school's indoor track and field program.

Isaac Jennings (Narberth, Pa./Harriton) completed the mile in 4:46.47, and while that was good for only 29th place in a field of 50 runners, it trails only the 4:39.67 that Joey Negreann ran at the Susquehanna Open in 2011 that still stands as the school record and two efforts by Adam Scipione (4:44.40 at the 2010 Landmark Conference Men's Indoor Track & Field Championships and 4:46.31 at the 2011 Susquehanna Open) in program annals.

Anthony Lee (Vancouver, Wash./Columbia River) completed the 5,000-meter run today in 17:02.58, good for 17th place.

Goucher's entry of Zachary Byrum (Stafford, Va./Brooke Point), Justin Wilson (New York, N.Y./Oakwood Friends School), Eli Schwartz (Berkeley, Calif./Berkeley) and Christian Ribeiro (Silver Spring, Md./Bethesda-Chevy Chase) record a time of 1:47.41 in the 4 x 200-meter relay to finish in 13th place.
