Goucher Swims at Drew in Final Road Meet
MADISON, N.J. - The Gophers of Goucher College traveled to face the Rangers of Drew University in their final away meet of the season.
The Gophers start with a second place finish from the Women's 200 Yard Medley Relay. The team consisting of Olivia Reichardt, Ella Robinson, Kaitlyn Firth, and Molly Smith finished with a time of 2:09.08.
Emma Kistner finished second in the 100 Yard Freestyle, finishing with a time of 1:12.45. Robinson placed second in the 100 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 1:14.33, falling just 0.7 seconds behind the first place finisher from Drew.
Firth also collected a third place finish in the 400 Yard IM with a time of 5:35.05.
The 200 Yard Freestyle team consisting of Alana Moore, Emily Strickland, Robinson, and Smith finished second (1:59.98).
Reichardt added a third place finish with a time of 1:15.33 in the 100 Yard Butterfly, and fell just off the podium in the 50 Yard Freestyle falling less than a second behind the second and third place finisher (28.94).
The men begun the night with a second place finish in the Men 200 Yard Medley Relay with a time of 1:55.29 from the team consisting of Ben Graff, Aiden Grimm, Joshua Contreras, and Christian Houck.
Contreras finished in third with a time of 57.71 in the 100 Yard Butterfly. Houck also added a third place finish for the Gophers in the 100 Yard Freestyle (1:03.54). Graff finished third in the 100 Yard Backstroke, finishing just two seconds behind the second place finisher, Grimm followed closely behind in fourth (1:03.78).
The 200 Yard Freestyle Relay team rounded out the meet with a second place finish from Houck, Olivia Barnes, Francisco Garcia Ibanez, and Graff (1:48.61).
The Gophers return home to face Gallaudet and McDaniel in their final meet at the von Borries Aquatic Center on Saturday, January 25th set to begin at 1pm.
