    TOWSON, Md. — The Landmark Conference, which is in its ninth year of competition, today recognized 309 student-athletes for their academic accomplishments by placing them on the Winter 2015-16 Academic Honor Roll. Thirty-one of the honorees are from Goucher.

    TOWSON, Md. — Amaka Ezeani (Silver Spring, Md./Paint Branch), one of five seniors on Goucher's 2015-16 roster playing the final games of their collegiate careers, turned in a 22-point, 11-rebound performance in leading the Gophers to a 75-54 triumph over the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in a Landmark Conference contest played this afternoon.

    SELINSGROVE, Pa. — Despite an early deficit, Goucher played side-by-side with Susquehanna until the opening minutes of the final quarter. The Crusaders opened up the fourth with a 10-0 run, and never looked back, as Patrick Daniel's squad fell 65-51 in Landmark Conference action.

    SCRANTON, Pa. — A different Goucher team stepped foot in the John Long Center this afternoon. One with passion and a willingness to get better, something that didn't show in the 72-37 loss just weeks ago to this very same Scranton team. Patrick Daniel's squad played stout defense and matched the No. 4 team in the nation's every move in the first half. Unfortunately, the result was similar, as the Gophers were outscored 40-29 in the final 20 minutes of action, leading to a 69-51 defeat.
  • Missed Opportunities Stricken Gophers in Loss

    TOWSON, Md. — An opportunity arose late in the fourth quarter as Goucher was staring at a 52-47 deficit. A technical foul was called by Melissa Errico which gave Patrick Daniel's squad two free throws and possession of the ball. Briana Bull (Baltimore, Md./Owings Mills) notched one of the two free throws and seconds later, the Gophers turned the ball over, which led to a made 3-point shot by Jayni Webster on the other end.
