Goucher Women's Lacrosse Senior Day Game Against Juniata College Moved To April 23 Due To Impending Weather
BALTIMORE, Md. – The Goucher College women's lacrosse season finale against Juniata College, originally scheduled for Friday, April 19 at 5:30 p.m. at Beldon Field, has been postponed due to the impending weather and chance of thunderstorms on Friday afternoon. The game has been rescheduled for Tuesday, April 23 at 5:30 p.m. on the Goucher campus.
Prior to the game on Tuesday against the Eagles, Goucher College will honor seniors Maddie Hernandez (Pickerington, Ohio, Danielle Nixon (Brunswick, N.J./East Brunswick) and Jordan Tice (Batavia, Ill./Batavia) for their hard work and dedication to the women's lacrosse program and Goucher College for the last four years.
The Gophers are coming off a game against Susquehanna that saw freshman Julia Gazzola (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) establish a new single-season record for draw controls with 88 draws. In addition, junior Shannon Stull (Westminster, Md./Francis Scott Key) reached 100 career draw controls in the game and now has surpassed the 100 mark in points, goals and draw controls this season.
Goucher is 7-7 on the year and is looking to post its first winning season since the 2015 season while a victory would also give the squad eight wins for the first time since the 2016 season.
