Emily Flinn Records 100th Career Point at Scranton

SCRANTON, Pa. - Senior Emily Flinn (Ashland, Va./Patrick Henry) totaled a goal and an assist to reach 100 points for her career with the Goucher College women's lacrosse team, but the Gophers were slowed by Scranton 18-3 Thursday afternoon.

• Scranton (8-5, 3-1 Landmark) scored just 18 seconds into the game and held a 3-0 lead 1:24 in.
• The Royals outshot Goucher (2-12, 0-4) 14-1 in the first quarter as it built a 10-0 lead.

• Grace Lane scored the first of four Scranton goals in the quarter 1:52 in.
• The hosts owned a 14-0 lead at intermission.

• Scranton scored three more times in the third.
• The Royals took a 17-0 lead with 5:16 left in the quarter.

• Julia Gazzola (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) scored the the Gophers 53 seconds into the fourth.
• After Scranton scored with just over seven minutes left, Flinn converted a free position with 5:12 on the clock.
• Flinn notched her 100th career point as she assisted on a goal by Gazzola with two seconds remaining.

• Flinn has recorded 49 goals and 51 assists in 34 career games.
• Scranton held a 29-8 shot advantage for the contest.
• Lia Oren (Milwaukee, Wisc./Nicolet) recorded five draw controls.
• Yoyo Karuma (Chiba, Japan/Aoyama Gakuin) had a pair of caused turnovers for the Gophers.
• Belle Christ (Randolph, N.J./Randolph) went the distance in goal and made seven saves.

• Goucher travels to Catholic on Wednesday for a 4 pm Landmark Conference contest.
• The Gophers host Drew next Saturday, April 23, at 1 pm at Beldon Field.
