GAITHERSBURG, Md. - For the sixth straight show, senior Cary Hundley (Ellicott City, Md.) won both her classes, as the Goucher College equestrian team was the highest scoring riding team once again on Sunday, collecting 44 points at an IHSA Show hosted by the University of Maryland and American University at The Other Left Farm.
Goucher opened up a commanding 22-point lead over George Washington University in the 2017-2018 IHSA Zone IV Region I standings today by earning 45 points at the region's second show of the season, an event hosted by Towson University and conducted at Amazing Grace Equestrian Center in Parkton, MD.
Goucher's riding team picked up right where it left off last year as it bested the 11 other colleges and universities of Zone IV Region I today in the regular season opener hosted by Mount St. Mary's but conducted on Goucher College's campus.
Senior Cary Hundley (Ellicott City, Md.) earned the High Collegiate Medal as the Gophers finished sixth at the Tournament of Champions Preseason Classic held at Randolph College on Saturday.
