- Tetsuya Ota won two matches including the deciding match to propel Goucher College past Washington College (Md.) 5-4 in non-conference men's tennis action on March 8.
- Ota and Michael Herman won their No. 1 doubles match by a score of 8-6 to help the Gophers jump out to a 2-1 lead after doubles. Ota then won his No. 1 singles match by identical scores of 6-1, 6-1 and was the fifth Goucher win on the afternoon to seal a 5-4 victory.
- Frankie Mullinix and Omosesan Adebamgbe took the No. 2 doubles match, 8-5. Slade Dumas and Elliot Diehl lost at No. 3 doubles, 8-5.
- Brian Kane was the first singles match to finish with the freshman winning a three-setter 6-1, 5-7, 6-1. Mullinix won the first set 6-1 and was up 3-0 before the match ended in a default with the Gophers earning the win for a 4-1 edge.
- The Shoremen won the final three matches of the day. Adebamgbe fell at No. 4 singles 8-2, Herman lost at No. 2 singles 6-4, 6-2 and Dumas fell at No. 5 singles, 8-3.
