NEW ORLEANS, La. — Both of Goucher's track and field programs were recognized today by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association for the academic accomplishments of the student-athletes in 2011-12.

HUNTINGDON, Pa. — Goucher's Joey Negreann (Denver, Colo./Cherry Creek) was the runner-up in the 1,500-meter run at today's Juniata Invitational, but it was in another event in which he placed third overall that the senior set a new outdoor school record.
LYNCHBURG, Va. — Goucher's Doug Falk (Barnegat, N.J./Barnegat Twp.) cleared 5'10 3/4" to finish in a three-way tie for eighth place in the high jump at the Dr. Jack M. Toms Open, which was conducted today and served as the first competition of the outdoor season for the Gophers.
