Gophers Hold Warriors Scoreless in Second Half to Secure the Win

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - The Goucher Men's Lacrosse team (9-8 Overall; 3-6 Conference) traveled to face the Lycoming College Warriors (6-9 Overall; 2-7 Conference). The Gophers held the Warriors scoreless in the second half to secure the 14-4 win.
- The Warriors began the scoring of the contest just four minutes into the contest with a goal from Farrell.
- Just two and a half minutes later, Gianni Karam finishes a shot to tie the game.
- Senior Milan Temple adds the second goal to the board for the Gophers from a Scott Tayman pass.
- Lycoming ties the game to begin series of back-and-forth goals with 4:54 left in the contest.
- Tyler May responded to the goal off an unassisted shot (3:41).
- The Warriors Husley finished their third of the quarter two minutes later.
- Junior Jacob Morgan gives Goucher the lead going into the second quarter after scoring with 20 seconds left.
- The Gophers began the scoring of the second with a Tayman goal just under four minutes in.
- First year Nick Pusey finished an unassisted shot with 6:48 remaining in the quarter.
- Karam and Tayman team up for the Gophers third and final goal of half (4:37).
- Lycoming scores their final goal of the game with 2:01 remaining.
- Goucher leads 7-4.
- Despite 12 shots in the quarter, the Gophers only found the net on two.
- The first came from Karam off a Kevin Gearhart assist about three minutes into the half.
- Jack Murdaugh scored the second goal with 47 seconds remaining.
- Murdaugh began the quarter the same way he ended the third, finding the net on an unassisted goal (14:20).
- A minute later Karam and Tayman connect again to give the Gophers 11.
- Morgan adds two unassisted goals within two minutes to add to the Goucher lead.
- Gearhart scores the final goal of the game off a pass from Morgan with 1:58 remaining.
- The Gophers outshot the Warriors 50-34, and earned more ground balls (41-31).
