MADISON, N.J. — The Landmark Conference today announced the names of the 32 student-athletes who make up the 2010 Fall Landmark All-Academic Team, which recognizes two male and two female athletes who have excelled athletically and academically from each of the eight Landmark institutions.
TOWSON, Md. — Whitney Raffo sufficiently impressed her superiors during her two seasons as an assistant coach with Goucher College's field hockey program that she was offered the head position when it became open following the recently completed 2010 campaign. The 2008 graduate of the University of Iowa quickly accepted the offer and has been appointed head coach on an interim basis, it was announced today by Director of Athletics Geoffrey Miller.

Twenty-nine of the honorees are from Goucher.

Goucher's Micki Manheimer (Falmouth, Maine/Falmouth) made 15 saves through 70 minutes of regulation and two 15-minute overtime periods this afternoon, matching her career-high for a single game, but the junior goalie's day was still not over.
